Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a client within the FMCG sector in Newtownards and are actively recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their small team within finance.
This is a permanent opportunity, office based. The hours of work are 8am to 5pm and an early finish on Friday.
The Role:
Working as part of a small team within accounts and reporting to the General Manager and Company Accountant, the post holder will be responsible for the accounts to Trial Balance stage.
Duties will involve:
Management of daily banking
Online banking, checking, posting and reconciling
Management of the ledger at month-end
VAT Returns and assisting with making tax digital
Month-end reconciliations
Listing and maintenance of Pricelist
Updating information on company website
Invoicing
General office administration including covering leave of sales administrator
The Person
Thorough working knowledge and understanding of the accounting function
Strong administrative and organisational skills and a responsible attitude
Strong IT skills with advanced working knowledge of MS Office
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with staff and suppliers at all levels
Experience using Sage 200 or similar
