We are looking to recruit a radiographer with sophisticated communication skills and a patient-centered approach who is interested in a career in breast imaging. You will need to have extensive general radiographic experience.
The successful candidate will gain experience in a in a systematic one stop breast clinic, cold lists and biopsies at the Macmillan Cancer Centre. The candidate must be HCPC registered and will be supported to complete a Post Graduate Certificate of Professional Practice in Mammography.You must capable and willing to work to the highest standards.
As a department, we are very supportive of role development, currently we have mammographers who report as well as perform breast biopsies and a Consultant Mammographer running One Stop Clinics and cold lists.

Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential criteria- BSc or Diploma in Radiography
- State Registration
- Evidence of relevant specialist post- degree or diploma courses for Continuing Professional Development
Experience
Essential criteria- Evidence of a range of post qualification clinical experience
- Participation in quality assurance and clinical audit
- Evidence of experience in (Mammography)
- Evidence of significant experience to rotate between specialist areas
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria- Evidence of participation in QA and maintenance of agreed standards
- Demonstrate awareness of responsibility to and advocacy for patients.
- Computer literacy
- Ability to safely use a wide range of manual handling equipment as provided by the Trust
- Ability to use own initiative, solve problems and make decisions.
