Ramsey Day Nursery, proudly rated GOOD by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Practitioner to join our expanding team, working in either the Toddler Room (ages 2-3 years) or Pre-School Room (ages 3-5 years). In this role, you will ensure the highest standards of care, education, and compliance, while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery.Building strong, positive relationships with parents, colleagues, and management is a core part of the role.
Located in Great Whyte, our nursery spans two spacious buildings and provides high-quality childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. We offer a nurturing environment where children can explore, expand their natural curiosity, and learn through play, fostering their development in a safe and engaging setting.
This full-time position involves 37 hours per week, working four days from 8am to 6pm. The nursery operates year-round, and the role is not restricted to term time. A full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification is essential, along with a genuine passion for supporting young children's development and fostering meaningful connections with families.
Nursery Practitioner main duties and responsibilities*:
- Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
- Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met.
- Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery and promote these daily in every routine.
- Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.
- Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
- Attend regular team meetings to ensure that you remain updated on key priorities, changes, developments and regularly review company policies and procedures.

Requirements and skills:
- Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification – essential
- Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
- Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
- Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
