Female Waking Night Extra Care Support Worker

Creative Support is a not-for-profit organisation which provides high quality, person-centred support. The support we offer is tailored to the individual client’s needs and wants, whilst encouraging independence and community engagement.

We are looking for calm, resourceful, and energetic Waking Night Support Workers who are highly motivated and hardworking, to provide individualised, warm and person-centred support to a young person with profound multiple learning disabilities, complex health needs including epilepsy and a visual impairment.

They also are a wheelchair user and live within their own flat in Camden connected to their family home.

You must be willing to embrace all aspects of your role as a Waking Night Support Worker including, but not limited to, working during the nights and occasionally during the day to support the young person with their medication administration, eating and drinking, personal care and health needs, including seizure management.
You will also support them to be positioned well throughout the night and complete regular checks, this includes checking and responding to the wellbeing of the young person and completing health and safety checks. You will also be required to complete cleaning and household chores.

You will be part of a warm and caring team operating in the Camden area to enable the young person to have a fulfilled life.

Creative Support is committed to your continuous professional development. As a successful candidate, you will receive a full local and corporate induction, and attain a NVQ level 3 certificate in Health and Social Care. You will have access to ongoing professional development from our training offices in London and the opportunity to discuss your training and development needs during regular supervision and appraisal meetings.

You will be required to work in a flexible manner, on a roster basis, during the nights and occasionally during the day. Previous experience, whilst desirable, is not necessary for this Waking Night Support Worker role - what we need most from you is warmth, kindness, and a positive, can-do attitude.
