Secondary Teaching Assistant
Location: Ellesmere PortStart Date: ASAP
Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm
Pay rates: £85 - £95
SupplyBank are recruiting for a teaching assistant to provide support to pupils who require additional support in the classroom in. You will be working with students 1:1 and within small groups. You will need to engage with students with challenging behaviours being able to remove their barriers to learn and build relationships.Children who have additional learning needs and can present challenging behaviour. You should be competent giving support pupils to manage their behaviour, emotions and help them develop their social skills. You will be a part of a bigger team so being able to work with the other staff members is also important.
Those with prior experience supporting children in any capacity are welcome to apply or those with transferable skills.
Candidate qualities:
- Reliable and flexible approach
- Confident, have an approachable manner and outgoing.
- Relevant experience in similar field.
- Enthusiasm to work with pupils who need additional time to progress.
- Show great behavioural management skills.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS clearance, registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
- Ability to provide two recent references.
- Right to work in the UK, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
- Relevant prior experience working with and supporting children
