We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Goods In Operative to join our dynamic team in Bishop's Cleeve. Our organisation specialises in providing top-notch logistic support services and packaging solutions to leading sectors, including aerospace, defence, advanced engineering, science & technology, and electronics across the UK, Europe, and the USA.

- Location: Bishop's Cleeve, Cheltenham
- Start: ASAP
- Hours:
- Monday & Tuesday: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Lunch: 30-minute unpaid break
What You'll Do:
As a Goods In Operative, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that incoming deliveries are processed efficiently and accurately. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Unloading and booking in incoming deliveries with precision.
- Removing packaging from pallets to prepare goods for inspection.
- Releasing stock onto the system for proper location management.
- Processing delivery paperwork and uploading it onto our systems.
- Conducting quality checks on incoming goods to maintain high standards.
- Investigating delivery discrepancies, including missing, damaged, or incorrect stock.
- Liaising with suppliers to resolve any delivery issues swiftly.
- Handing over deliveries to the inspection team for further processing.
- Answering phone calls, taking messages, and directing calls to the appropriate departments.
- Supporting the warehouse team with additional tasks as needed.
What We're Looking For:
To thrive in this role, attention to detail and data entry accuracy are essential. A Counterbalance FLT licence is desirable but not mandatory. Pre-employment checks will be conducted to ensure the highest standards.
