Science Technician Required for a Secondary School in Darwen – Temp-to-Perm
Are you passionate about science and looking to support the next generation of budding scientists? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Science Technician to join a vibrant secondary school in Darwen, starting in December on a temporary-to-permanent basis!
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare, set up, and maintain equipment for science lessons (Chemistry, Physics, and Biology)
- Assist teachers with practical demonstrations and experiments
- Ensure laboratories are safe, clean, and fully stocked
- Support students during practical sessions and maintain health & safety standards
- Manage and maintain stock levels and equipment
What We’re Looking For:
- A strong interest in science and a basic understanding of laboratory procedures
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
- Start December: Perfect timing to transition before the new term
