Pay Rate: £12.59 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 35 Monday – Friday, 09:00 - 16:30
Role Length: This opening assignment is for 2-3 monthsCity: CREWE
Training can be provided to the right candidate.
Candidate needs to demonstrate confidence in using computers along with excellent data entry skills. Due to the work great attention to detail is essential. The tasks will involve data entry, acknowledging a variety of requests and plotting land and property areas with accuracy (using location maps) onto the GIS system.You will work within a very small team and play a integral role in supporting the processing of conveyancing report requests.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the Local Land Charges Registers in accordance with Statutory legislation and “The Garner” and the Local Authorities statutory duty to maintain this register.Registerable information is produced in both an accurate, legible and timely way in accordance with Garner and the statutory requirements, for viewing by Council staff or external stakeholders.
Ensure retention of all registration documentation and legal agreements, with a documented auditable trail in accordance with set guidelines
Supervision, coordination and management of the Local Land Charges and Property search service team.
Provide appropriate technical response in writing to solicitors enquiries in relation to registration issues or Council produced Local Land Charge searches.
Assist with the implementation of new software as deemed necessary within the section.
Reviewing and capturing data as necessary to enhance the overall efficiency, accuracy and productivity of the service.
Maintain accurate information and records of searches processed. Supply at regular intervals various management information reports relating to performance and the service activity.
A continual review of working practices and procedures to adapt to any changes necessary to meet statutory or changing service provision needs.
Ensure adequate checks and controls are maintained and that these meet audit requirements for payments received via BACs; On account: cash: or cheques.
Ensuring searches are processed in an efficient and effective manner within the time determined by the Council and in accordance with the EIR regulations to meet the property search service delivery requirements.
Qualifications:
Education to GCSE level Grade 3 or above
Knowledge:
Awareness of office processes and procedures (e.g. diary management, invoice processing etc.)
Experience:
Working to regulatory deadlines and understanding of auditable records
Skills & Abilities:
Good Literacy and analytical skills.Good ICT skills – proven ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), or equivalent, and/or database systems
Ability to prioritise workload and appropriately escalate issues for others attention
Proven ability to work consistently from defined guidelines, ensuring procedural compliance at all times
