Responsibilities

Manage the overall operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
Administer medication and oversee medication management for residents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to prescribed protocols.
Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs, particularly for those requiring dementia care.
Foster a positive environment that promotes resident well-being and dignity.
Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for all residents.
Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.

Maintain accurate records of resident care and staff performance, ensuring confidentiality is upheld at all times.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services; or equivalent

Have experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviours including mental health and emotional and behaviour difficulties.
At least 2 years Registered Manager or Deputy Manager experience of working in an Ofsted regulated children's home that carries a rating of good or above.
Excellent knowledge of current legislations The Children’s Homes England Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, the Children’s Act 1989, Children Act 2004 alongside all other legislations that are relevant to residential children’s homes

We are seeking a passionate individual to help create and maintain a child-centred therapeutic home with the ability to lead a staff team. The role requires a degree of resilience and patience for working with a vulnerable young people. You will require previous experience of regulatory requirements as it relates to Children’s homes, staff supervision and leading a team.

The manager will be driven along with a requirement to be empathetic, committed, compassionate and passionate to be able to work with our children and young people who are from dynamic backgrounds, cultures, ages and genders.

The successful candidate will support young people to grow in all areas of their lives and work towards emotional stability whilst developing to their full potential. They will lead and manage the children’s home consistent with the approach and ethos of the organisation, delivering outcomes and high-quality care as set out in the home’s statement of purpose.
