We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Standard Child Protection team, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding and supporting those most in need.

With at least three years of experience in safeguarding children and families, this role requires a strong understanding of court work and legal processes to help achieve the best possible outcomes for children at risk. You will be responsible for assessing, supporting, and protecting children and families, working collaboratively with professionals across multiple agencies to ensure the right support is in place.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks
  • Managing and reviewing child protection plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners
  • Attending Court hearings and providing detailed reports to support legal proceedings
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and legal frameworks
  • Working closely with children, families, and other professionals to promote positive outcomes
  • Providing support and advice to families and acting as the key worker throughout cases
  • Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements

What do you need?

To be successful in the application process, candidates will need to have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in child protection or social work within a similar setting
  • Proven experience in Court work and a solid understanding of legal processes
  • Strong knowledge of child safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to case management
  • A Social Work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent) and current HCPC registration
