Warehouse Assistant

Reed Recruitment in Colchester are looking for a Warehouse Assistant/Driver to work for a client based in Colchester on a full time, permanent basis.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm with an early finish on Friday working 8:30am to 1:30pm.

Duties:

• Ensuring that all goods that are picked and booked in match the relevant paperwork
• Receiving, checking, recording, and storing stock as it is received.
• Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy
• Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
• Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedule
• VMI (Vendor-managed inventory), which involves using a hand-held scanner. Full training will be given.
• Forklift licence an advantage but training can be given.
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck.
• Customer facing deliveries, this is not a multi drop driving role
• Approx. 50% warehouse – 50% driving

• Candidates who are trustworthy, enthusiastic, responsible, organised, well presented, with good time keeping, as well as those who can work autonomously & as part of a team.
• Friendly & approachable personality, with a ‘One Team’ approach to work.
• Warehouse / stores experience is a must
• Fork lift licence an advantage but not necessary as we are willing to train
• Full Driving Licence required - Maximum of 3 penalty points
• Physically and mentally fit.
