Finance Manager

Neway is currently looking for a Finance Manager to join our client based with Cardiff Council.

This role is starting asap, working 37 hours a week in an ongoing contract.

To ensure that staff and systems support the delivery of quality services for children in need, children at risk, and children being looked after, in accordance with legal requirements, County policies and procedures, and Government initiatives.

To ensure that managers at all levels within the service sector are provided with information that enables them to manage these services towards agreed objectives and activity levels, and within budget.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To provide managers with financial information and reports to enable effective service delivery and planning.
2. To provide trend commentary and financial projections in relation to core budgets and grant funding.
3. To provide information to assist in the procurement and tendering process for the purchase of goods and services,
4. To develop and maintain management information systems to record key service activity.
5. To assist in the monitoring and analysis of performance data, financial and management information.
