-wide with travel and overnight stays) Permanent £55,000 to £60,000 per annum + £4,200 car allowance and benefits Shirley Parsons has partnered with a leading consultancy in fire safety and risk management to recruit a highly skilled and dual-competent Advanced Fire Risk Assessor, with expertise in both Fire Risk and Health and Safety.

The Advanced Fire Risk Assessor will be responsible for:
  • Conducting complex and non-complex Fire Risk Assessments across a variety of premises, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and preparing detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Performing quality assurance and validation of fire safety activities, including fire door and compartmentation surveys.
  • Staying updated on fire safety and health and safety legislation to provide clients with best-practice guidance and bespoke advice.
  • Supporting clients with training, fire strategy development, and effective collaboration with contractors and regulators.
  • Leading high-risk fire risk assessments while mentoring and guiding team members to deliver exceptional results.
The Advanced Fire Risk Assessor will have:
  • A strong background in Health and Safety Consultancy, with a focus on Fire Risk Assessments.
Experience in student accommodation is highly desirable.
  • Diploma-level qualifications in Health and Safety and Fire Safety, along with CertIOSH (ideally).
Registration with the Tiered Fire Risk Assessors Register (TFRAR) is a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK Fire Safety and Health and Safety Legislation, technical standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to provide clear and actionable client guidance.
  • A full, clean driving license and the flexibility to travel UK-wide, including overnight stays.
