Pay Rate: From £25/hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you passionate about inspiring students and helping them unlock their potential in Maths and English? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maths and English Tutor to join our team, delivering personalised, one-to-one support to learners in Waltham Forest.

As a Maths and English Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students' academic progress and confidence.

Sessions will be conducted in the student's home or at a mutually agreed location, offering flexibility to choose morning, afternoon, or evening sessions. This is a temporary, part-time position, with hours ranging from 1 to 30 per week, depending on your availability and the student's needs.

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Maths and English, tailored to individual learning objectives.
Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to maximise understanding and engagement.
Provide constructive feedback to parents, carers, or schools to ensure continuous improvement.
Support students with a range of learning styles and abilities, including those with SEN (Special Educational Needs).
Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that builds confidence and motivation.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

A minimum of 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in Maths or English.
The right to work in the UK.
A current enhanced DBS check or willingness to undertake one.

Desired Qualities:

Experience working with children with SEN.
A teaching qualification, such as QTS or PGCE, in Maths or English.
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
A passion for education and a patient, adaptable teaching approach.
