We are now looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and approximately 20 Saturdays per year, 08:50 am to 12:30 pm (8 Saturdays in winter term, 6 in spring term and 6 in summer term).

The Role
As a Senior IT Support Engineer, you will oversee the delivery of a first-class IT support service to staff and pupils at Aldro School.
Working closely with the inTEC Education Service Manager and the school’s Senior Leadership Team, you will maintain servers, networks, end-user devices and cloud systems, ensuring a reliable and innovative IT environment for staff and pupils.
You’ll manage and resolve support tickets within the service desk, escalate technical issues and undertake routine maintenance of classroom IT, making regular checks on equipment to ensure smooth teaching and learning activities.
Ensuring all systems are safe for pupil use, you'll work closely with the safeguarding team to ensure harmful content is not accessible on any IT platform.
Additionally, you will:
- Monitor IT systems and the network for viruses, malfunctions and errors
- Update the school’s IT asset register and documentation for all IT systems
- Support various IT projects
About You
To be considered as a Senior IT Support Engineer, you will need:
- At least three years’ experience in a similar role
- Microsoft systems administration experience (Windows Server, 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure)
- iSAMS experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Please note, the successful candidate will undergo an enhanced DBS check.
This position carries a two month notice period (after an initial three month probation period).
