Laboratory Team Leader Organics
The Organics team provides data for the regulatory and statutory analysis of waste and potable drinking water.
In this role, you will manage a small team of 4 Laboratory Analysts and coordinate resources including analytical instrumentation, materials, and laboratory infrastructure to analyse samples and report test results.
What you’ll be doing as a Laboratory Team Leader Organics- Use your excellent communication skills to manage all people aspects of a small team.
- Use your knowledge in LC or GCMS to train and help the team troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Use your knowledge and understanding of our regulatory requirements and ISO17025 DWTS and MCERTS standards in the management of the analytical methods.
- Ensure compliance with the DWI ‘competent person’ guidance.
- Maintain our excellent record on H+S performance and compliance.
Base Location: Spencer House, Reading.
What you should bring to the role- Have a degree level in science, though candidates with a solid background in analytical chemistry would be considered.
- Have experience in running and maintaining LCMS, GCMS, or other analytical systems.
- Possess a sense of drive and determination to learn new job responsibilities.

- Competitive salary from £36,240 to £46,700 per annum depending on skills and experience.
- Annual Leave - 24 days holiday per year increasing to 28 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
