SEN Class Teacher MLD
Protocol Education are seeking a Class Teacher to join a specialist school in Chelmsford.
This is a very exciting opportunity to join a highly professional team and an outstanding special School and College for pupils ages 5-19 with moderate learning difficulties and additional complex needs of Autism, ADHD, speech & language and social communication difficulties.
The school offers a tailored curriculum that focuses on key skills, whilst also providing a broad and engaging knowledge base. Promoting independence and personal and social skills are fundamental to every lesson.
As an SEN Class Teacher MLD, your primary responsibilities include:- Developing and implementing individualised education plans for students with Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD)
- Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of students with MLD
- Assessing student progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborating with parents, support staff, and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of students
- Maintaining accurate records of student performance and progress
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD)
- Knowledge of SEN Code of Practise and relevant legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role
- Understanding of different learning styles and ability to differentiate instruction
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs
Pay:
Teacher Main Pay Range or UPN plus 1SEN in accordance with School Teachers' Pay & Conditions Document

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
