We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Temporary Accommodation Officer to join our team at SO2 level. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the temporary accommodation services provided by our organization, ensuring that individuals and families in need receive appropriate support and assistance during their time of transition.
Your expertise will play a crucial role in facilitating access to safe, secure, and suitable living arrangements for those requiring temporary housing solutions. This position is essential for upholding the standards of care and support that our organization is committed to providing.
You will work closely with various stakeholders, including local authorities, housing providers, and service users, to develop and implement effective temporary accommodation strategies. Responsibilities
Manage and assess applications for temporary accommodation.
Coordinate with local housing providers to secure suitable placements.
Conduct regular inspections of temporary accommodations to ensure safety and compliance.
Provide support and guidance to individuals and families transitioning to permanent housing.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accommodation placements and client interactions.
Develop and implement policies related to temporary accommodation services.

Collaborate with social services and other organizations to facilitate additional support for clients.

Requirements
Proven experience in housing, social services, or a related field.
Strong understanding of housing legislation and temporary accommodation processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to assess needs and develop tailored support plans for clients.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience in managing complex cases and conflict resolution.

Proficiency in data management and record-keeping systems.

Hours Per Week: 36.00

Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £21.33

Location: Lambeth, South East London
