The post-holder will provide direct support to the ICC Service Management Team through delegated business management responsibilities for allocated services within the Integrated Community Care Directorate.
We are looking for an individual with a strong operational background and a patient-centred approach to improving community healthcare service in Sheffield.
This role will be responsible for the provision of a high-quality administrative support service to clinical and non-clinical colleagues to help maintain efficient and smooth delivery of care to our patients. This will include ensuring that all financial and operational activity and service objectives are achieved within agreed deadlines together with effective day to day support to the management teams.
Main duties of the job
Oversee the management of administrative staff and services in support of the provision of high quality care, teaching and research, within a patient centred environment.
To assist on service continuity and redesign within the Directorate, involving front line staff and patients in delivering effective, efficient and timely services, in a cost effective way.
To assist the Service Manager to ensure that the department delivers financial targets, including balanced budgets, tracking AFE and delivery of P&E targets.
To assist in ensuring the delivery of activity targets in the department, including activity modelling and capacity planning.
To assist on the planning process with the department; to take responsibility for the production of Service Development Bids and Business Cases.
To work with the CCA Business Analyst to ensure that accurate, timely information is available to support delivery of services, teaching and research, as well as the delivery of objectives/targets.
Take a lead on external and internal communication for the department. Ensure that responsive and effective channels of communication are establishes, both within the directorate and with external stake holders. Ensure that staff are informed and engaged with planning/objective setting and receive regular feedback on directorate performance.

Essential criteria- Degree (or equivalent experience) and post graduate diploma (or equivalent)
- Business Admin or Leadership Qualification
Experience
Essential criteria- Relevant experience of managing a service including financial, patient access, and performance management.
- Demonstrable staff management experience, establishing clear priorities, delegating effectively, monitoring performance and giving feedback
- Using data to make successful decisions and presenting data to others
- Implementing Trust or Directorate Policies
- Demonstrable experience in delivering change through teams, encouraging them in the development and delivery of plans
- Clear understanding of NHS policy
- Managing information systems
