Childcare Trainer – Barnsley College - Variable hours - £16.26 per hour

Due to continuous growth, Barnsley College has a rare, yet exciting opportunity for a new Childcare Assessor/Trainer within our Health, Science and childcare department. Our new Childcare assessor/ trainer will work in collaboration with fellow teaching staff and employers to maximise the development of knowledge, skills and behaviours for learners undertaking a childcare course.

The successful candidate will spend most of their time in the workplace assessing the progress of students against the key learning outcomes for their qualifications.

Childcare Assessor/Trainer

£16.26 per hour

The Childcare and Health team is a well-established team. Our new Childcare Trainer/Assessor will hold responsibility for a caseload of 40+ learners, providing high-quality training, mentoring and assessment to allow childcare students to achieve their qualification.

You will develop individual training plans which provide support to learners to meet the content of, and effectively prepare them for their practical assessments.

Motivating and inspiring Childcare students to work to the best of their ability is key. It is essential that our new Childcare Assessor/Trainer has the occupational competency to assess at Level 3. In return, you will also receive significant investment to your own CPD, through support to achieve further qualifications such as PGCE and IQA whilst in post.
