Community Learning Disability Physiotherapist,Band 5/6Developmental post.

This post is30hours per week, permanent contract,to work in our Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities in the Reading locality.

We are looking for aCommunity Learning DisabilityPhysiotherapistwhowill join our multi-disciplinary team and help to make a difference to the quality of life for people with learning disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of people with many diverse and complex needs.

This isa great opportunityto work in the community providing you with a unique opportunity to develop and learn within the learning disability service.

You maybe a newly qualified physiotherapist looking for adevelopmentalrole within our learning disabilities service, or aphysiotherapist with minimum 3 years ofexperienceand keen to work within our specialistserviceworking with people with a learning disability.Then why not contact us if you are ready for a new challenge.

You will be expected to do some of your visits remotely & face-to-face, working in a multi-disciplinary team approach, including working with private care providers and families. The ability to educate and influence is therefore essential.
  • To manage a caseloadautonomously.
  • To work within the Community Learning disability multi-disciplinary team based in Reading but may berequiredto cover Berkshire wide as per requirements.
  • To provide a high standard of quality physiotherapy service to people with learning disabilities in community settings.
  • To provide specialist advice and therapeutic interventions to parents and carers of people with a learningdisability.

  1. RegisteredPhysiotherapist
  2. Current registration with theHCPC
  3. To hold a driving licence and have access to a car.
  4. To have a good understanding of reasonable adjustment
