Job Title: Senior Risk and Compliance AnalystHybrid: 3 office / 2 homeA Tier 1 law firm is looking for a Senior Risk and Compliance Analyst to join their team and work closely with the Risk and Compliance Manager to help ensure that the firm complies with relevant regulations and statutory requirements, particularly in relation to new client and matter take-on procedures.
There will be an advisory element to this role, and so it is essential that you have advisory experience. Please ensure this is highlighted on your CV.This is a varied and generalist role across all areas of risk and compliance including AML checks and client and matter management.
In addition to the compliance duties, you will also be acting as a mentor to more junior members of the team.A selection of duties will include:Developing and maintaining AML policies and procedures and reviewing AML documentationAdvising fee earners on the firms AML requirementsRunning and reviewing conflict checksRunning sanctions checks and responding to sanction list alertsAdvising staff on the firms compliance policies and best practices; implementing and maintaining compliance policies and proceduresRegularly reviewing and updating internal policies and proceduresProviding training related mattersLiaising with the SRA and other regulatory bodies as applicableInvestigating potential compliance violationsConducting ongoing monitoring of clients and enhanced client due diligence checks for higher-risk clientsIt is essential that you have a solid background and experience in legal compliance and AML from another London law firm, as well as having in-depth knowledge of SRA regulations and legal sector money laundering risks.
