Senior Product Manager - London
TL;DR:
- CUR8 is looking for a talented and ambitious Senior Product Manager to join our growing product, design, and engineering team.
- Ideal candidates are mid or senior level today (5+ years of direct product management experience), with a strong product sense, and are excited about early stage product creation.
- This is an exciting opportunity to join as our 2nd product hire, working with our exceptionally talented team. You will report to our Product Director but will be expected to own and shape an entire product for CUR8 - with autonomy.
- The role is a hybrid role, working from home but also from our Old Street office (open to discuss number of office days).
About CUR8:
The science is clear. Humanity needs to remove CO2 from the atmosphere at gargantuan scale. And our window is closing. Even if we do everything else right on reducing emissions, the world needs to remove 5-10 Gigatonnes of carbon from the atmosphere every year by the year 2050.There simply is no Net Zero without carbon removals.
At CUR8, we’re driven by making the worldwide market for Carbon Removals. We’re on a mission to facilitate 1Bn tonnes of carbon removed in a single year. We’re the leading science, procurement, and management platform for carbon removal. Combining technology with financial and scientific expertise to help companies to find, buy, manage, and finance carbon removal.
In the last year we’ve had some big successes including designing, facilitating, and now managing the UK’s largest single purchase of durable carbon removal ever! Now we’re growing our team in a number of core areas to keep up with our demand.
We’re systemic thinkers. Together with our sister NGO, Rethinking Removals, we collaborate with the entire carbon removals ecosystem, across suppliers, buyers, policymakers, and narrative setters, together to develop and invest in future projects to make sure there are enough carbon removals in 1, 5, 10 and 25 years time.
About the role:
We’re looking to hire a Senior Product Manager as our second product hire. From a team perspective, you will join and lead our first full product squad. Working hand in hand with our Product Director who is part of CUR8’s management team.
A particular focus of this role will be leading CUR8’s Carbon Credit Management SaaS product and evolving this as we grow its user base.
In this role, you’d get to be responsible for:
- Identifying, shaping, and quantifying opportunities for CUR8 to go after.
- Developing product vision, strategy, and roadmap for your product area.
- Building delightful solutions to our users’ problems.
- Designing and building market experiments to help us to continue to learn, evolve, and pivot our offering.
- Understanding more than anyone else about the needs and wants of sustainability and finance teams.
Product wise, you’ll work on solving multiple product problems and some big challenges - including:
- Simplifying the complex world of Carbon Removals.
- Solving first of a kind data problems.
- Collaborating with the rest of the CUR8 team to create groundbreaking data products.
Requirements
About you:
Please treat the below as simply a starting point. If you don’t exactly meet all of the below points but think you’d be really impactful in our team, we want to hear from you.- You have 5+ years of direct product management experience including experience building B2B SaaS products.
- You can point to having built and released into the world impactful features that demonstrate impact and a high level of product sense and intuition. We’re innovating not optimising in known solution spaces.
- Can drive exceptional execution across product, engineering, and design - we’re an early stage startup and we’re looking for someone comfortable and adept at creating impactful features not simply incepting them.
- You are passionate about impact and startups - you’re a proactive self-starter who is comfortable dealing with a high degree of ambiguity.
- You have an understanding of key climate change/sustainability themes; experience in climate is valuable but not essential. We need you to care about the problem space though!
