After School Tutor

Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.

We are currently looking for qualified Tutors in and around Southwark to support students after school with booster sessions. Providing 1:1 tuition either in their homes or the local library. Students will need support in the core subjects of Maths, English & Science and will require tuition to support them ahead of their upcoming GCSE's.

• Location - Southwark
• Position - one to one tutor
• Type of work - Contract
• Start date - ASAP
• Duration / Likely Duration - dependent on each student
• Contract type - Temporary
• Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on availability
• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £25 per hour
• Hours - Working hours can differentiate, minimum 1 hour per session and a maximum of 3 hours per session

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
• 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
