Social Housing Groundworker

Job Advert: Groundworker (5-Month Contract) - Stratford Upon Avon

We are seeking an experienced Groundworker to join our clients Reactive Repairs and Maintenance Team for a 5-month contract in Stratford Upon Avon. This role focuses on groundworks, fencing, and brickwork within social housing. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repairs efficiently and ensuring high-quality work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete repairs to a high standard on the first attempt whenever possible.
• Report any additional work requirements to the supervisor.
• Maintain a professional and respectful approach towards tenants.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and stay updated on technical and legal requirements.

Requirements

Essential:

• Extensive experience in groundworks.
• Proficiency in using Cat and Genny (cable avoidance tools).
• Previous experience in social housing repairs.
• Ability to cover multiple trade skills and manage waste effectively.
• Full UK driving licence (clean or no more than 5 points).
• Own van required.
• No driving ban in the last five years.
• Ability to pass a Basic DBS (criminal record) check.
• Right to work in the UK for the duration of the contract.

Desirable:

• NVQ Level 2 in Building Maintenance or Bricklaying.
