As a youth worker at the centre you will build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people and will work in a bespoke person-centred way in order to get the very best outcomes for them.
You will be responsible for developing, planning, and facilitating the youth provision with the support of a part time evening staff team and volunteers who you will have line management responsibility for.
You will work with the centre manager and management committee to identify opportunities for young people to access including possible funding to expand the work
You will facilitate children and young people voice in the centre to ensure the provision offered meets their needs and encourages their development through new opportunities.
As required you will advocate for children and young people with fellow professionals and ensure they are safe guarded at all times.
Children and young people do not live in isolation so as an advocate for best outcomes for them you will work with parents and carers to facilitate participation and access to opportunities.
You will work in a flexible way to accommodate the needs of the project and as such will be required to work several evenings a week to facilitate the youth club. Dependant on the programme you offer this may also require some weekend work
