Assistant Project Manager - Rail

Up to £ 300 per day (inside IR35)

About the Role

Our client is currently looking for an immediate starting Assistant Project Manager to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent You will be working specifically on the AWAC project in the North West

While the position is currently available as a contract role there is an internal request for a permanent post However this permanent role is unlikely to be filled for the next 6-8 months due to internal processes and interviews

• Manage and oversee the AWAC project ensuring successful delivery within scope time and budget
• Chair and facilitate project meetings ensuring effective communication and decision-making
• Work autonomously and take the initiative to resolve issues and deliver project milestones
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure project success
• Utilise IT systems including Word Excel and PowerPoint to support project administration and reporting
• Training and guidance will be provided to support your success in the role

• Previous project management experience within the rail industry is highly desirable
• Strong IT skills including proficiency in Word Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to chair meetings confidently
• Ability to work independently and use your initiative to drive projects forward
• A proactive approach and a willingness to learn and adapt
