Director of Digital Strategy and Data
This new senior post reflects a shared commitment to harnessing the power of digital infrastructure, data insight, and innovation in support of teaching, learning, pastoral care, and operational efficiency.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of Ardingly College and working in close collaboration with the Bursar of Great Walstead School, the postholder will provide strategic leadership for all aspects of digital development, IT systems, data governance and compliance.The Director will also act as the Data Protection Officer (DPO) for both schools, ensuring the highest standards of data protection and regulatory compliance.
The role will line manage three key technical staff – the Network Manager, Senior Technician, and Senior Systems Developer – and will lead a cross-school digital strategy to ensure systems are secure, scalable, aligned to educational priorities, and future-ready.
This is a full-time, year-round role, though applicants looking for a flexible working pattern will be considered, and this should be outlined in the application. The postholder will be primarily based at Ardingly College, with regular presence required at Great Walstead School.
