A secondary school in Basingstoke is seeking a Food Technology Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from March until the end of the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and skilled teacher to deliver engaging lessons in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Food Technology, inspiring students and helping them develop key culinary and theoretical skills.

The school is open to taking on a candidate immediately if available, with an official contract start date of 21st April or September 2025.

The Role:

  • Teach Food Technology across KS3 & KS4, ensuring students gain both practical and theoretical knowledge.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
  • Encourage students to develop their creativity, technical skills, and understanding of nutrition and food science.
  • Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed in practical lessons.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, supporting extracurricular activities where possible.

Who Can Apply?

✔️ Qualified Food Technology Teachers (QTS/QTLS preferred).
✔️ ECTs looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive school environment.
✔️ Unqualified teachers with relevant teaching experience in Food Technology may also be considered.
