Food and Science Technician

In this role you will work across two departments, as Food Technician, supporting the teacher in developing students love for cooking and nutrition, and as Science Technician, working with teachers and the technician team in encouraging students to explore the wonders of science.

With excellent purpose built facilities in both areas, this role is integral to supporting our students and to enable our teachers to deliver high quality, engaging teaching.

Applications from candidates that would be interested in working in only one area (Food or Science) are welcome, with the hours to be adjusted as necessary.

The Role.

As the Food and Science Technician at Pate’s, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of each department.

Your organised and proactive approach to your work will support in providing an enriching education experience for our students, playing a crucial role in the organising of practical lessons from ensuring the correct materials are available and ready on time, areas are clean, tidy, and organised, equipment is maintained and stock levels managed.

Your ability to work on your own and as part of a team, along with your attention to detail and ability to problem solve will support you in this role.
