Upper GI Oncology & Nutrition Support Dietitian

To work as a member of the dietetic team providing a comprehensive, effective and evidence based dietetic service for patients at University Hospitals Dorset, including but not limited to UGI cancer and gastroenterology patients. To manage the caseload of the upper GI oncology patients who require radical treatment (chemo/radiotherapy), and or radiotherapy and patients having palliative treatment.
To independently formulate safe, appropriate and accurate treatment plans for oral, enteral & parenteral nutrition as part of care plans with the multi-disciplinary team. To work with the UHD nutrition support MDT to provide a weekly service in nutrition support to those with complex feeding issues.

To provide support to both the surgical and gastroenterology wards at UHD giving specialist advice to patients with a variety of clinical conditions. Deliver a fortnightly gastroenterology outpatient clinic with support from the specialist gastroenterology dietitian.
