Job Duties:
- Develop and deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Stay up-to-date with curriculum changes and educational best practises.
Required Qualifications:
A recognised teaching qualification in English.
Valid DBS check.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in English or related field.
Experience:
Prior experience in teaching English, preferably in a secondary school setting.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of the English curriculum.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Effective classroom management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualification in Education.
Experience working with students with special educational needs.
Working Conditions:
Work primarily in a classroom setting.
Interact with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis.
Potential for some extracurricular activities and parent meetings outside of regular hours.
