What You'll Be Doing:

As a Junior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in their project bidding and estimating processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing comprehensive tender packages and managing the bid process.
• Reviewing tender documentation, including preliminaries and contract documents, and conducting site visits as necessary.
• Providing full take-offs and producing Bills of Quantities (BoQs).
• Coordinating sub-contractor tendering and performing quote comparisons.
• Engaging in cost-planning and assessing levels of risk and opportunity on tenders.
• Conducting tender adjudications and profit planning.

What They Are Looking For:

• A background in Quantity Surveying, either currently studying or recently completed would be ideal however they will also consider someone from a construction background.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies and a solid understanding of JCT contracts would really benefit you in this role.
• A knack for quick turnarounds during busy periods and the initiative to work to strict deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft software, along with good presentation and excellent written English skills.
• Ideally someone local to the Tunbridge Wells area.
