About the Role:

The Digital Forensic Technician is an integral part of Latham’s Information Governance team. This role will be responsible for conducting tasks related to the forensic examination and collection of electronic files from file shares, desktop and laptop computers, media, including hard drives, flash drives, cellular devices and cloud repositories, while creating and managing jobs within various forensic and eDiscovery platforms for the purpose of imaging, acquisition, extraction, processing, and delivery of data from various sources.

This role will be located in our Manchester office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Other key responsibilities include:

 •  Liaising with other team members, including Information Governance Compliance attorneys, Records, Data Privacy and Practice Support Services (PSS)
 •  Providing analysis and reporting on data collections and using this information to provide guidance on scope of collection and impact
 •  Maintaining accurate notes and tracking documentation for data collection projects
 •  Creating and maintaining documentation for data collection procedures and the use of our Forensic/eDiscovery tools for various projects
 •  Understanding and anticipating the needs of the PSS team, attorneys, and other internal clients with respect to forensic software, tools, and collection methodologies

We’d love to hear from you if you:

 •  Demonstrate knowledge of forensic techniques and forensic software/hardware, including Nuix Workstation, Nuix ECC, Cellebrite Cloud Analyzer, Cellebrite Elite/ Premium, Cellebrite PA, MS Purview, EnCase eDiscovery, and FTK Imager
 •  Display the ability to perform forensic data acquisition/collection in support of forensic investigations and electronic discovery matters, including a wide variety of data sources, such as endpoints, mobile devices, mail/archiving platforms, etc.
 •  Exhibit working knowledge of e-discovery workflow and best practices, especially in the areas of forensic collection and presentation

And have:

 •  Experience in a computer science related role
 •  Experience within digital forensics
