Infection Prevention and Control Nurse
Band 7 (37.5 hours full-time)
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced IPC nurse to join our dynamic team at Croydon Health Services.This is a fantastic opportunity to harness your IPC experience and to make a real difference to the IPC strategy and improve outcomes for patients.
The post holder should be an experienced IPC nurse who is enthusiastic, dynamic and keen to make a positive impact on infection prevention and control practices in the Trust ensuring best practice is adhered to.
The post holder will set the vision for IPC, alongside the Deputy DIPC, ensuring good governance is in place and IPC measures are fully implemented and embedded across the Trust.
Successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, have a good work ethic, passion for IPC, ability to manage own workload, demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with others.
The post holder will develop a quality, proactive, evidence based Infection Control service, to prevent and reduce the incidence of infections and implement systems to enhance patient and staff safety across the organization.
Previous experience in IPC is essential for this role. The successful candidate must also be computer literate, have good organisational skills and be able to demonstrate autonomous working and to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- The post holder will be responsible for providing specialist Infection Prevention & Control advice and support to staff and teams working both in the acute and community services to ensure adherence to good practice in infection prevention and control.
- The post holder will act as an advisor disseminating specialist skills and knowledge to all staff groups, patients and visitors and be visible and accessible to staff, patients and visitors acting as a role model at all times.
- The post holder will contribute to the daily organisation of the service in the absence of the Senior Infection Prevention & Control Nurse.
