People group are looking to Hire a Health & Safety Manager to join a major client in the NorthResponsible for implementing the health and safety policy, with specific focus onsite activities planning and delivery.Rate: 300 Outside IR35Location: Manchester to LiverpoolStart date: ASAPWorking Arrangements: Part Time - 2 Days a weekDuration: 3 monthsResponsibilities:Promote a positive Health and Safety culture on siteLead and promote continuous improvement in relation to all health, safety and environmental work practices on the siteCommunicate with local authorities and any other external bodies relating to EHSIdentify areas of risk and develop risk assessments/measures to reduce and controlMonitor EHS compliance on site and to generate weekly inspections & reportsHost and lead safety meetingsInfluence and coach site team in the implementation of best practice EHS standardsAdvising and assisting site management in drafting, reviewing and communicating Method Statements, Safe Plans of Action and Toolbox TalksManage training and compliance filesProvide advice, guidance and instruction in all health & safety matters to management, safety representatives and employees (including sub-contractors where appropriate)Conduct regular inspections and site audits, reporting findings to site and senior company management.Ensure that all accidents are reported, recorded and investigated and that suitable notification is givenCompile incident investigation reportsCompile relevant information for inclusion in the Safety File and preparing for handover to the Client at the end of the projectPromote the Company mission of being a healthy and incident and injury free workplaceTo be successful in this position, you will:Hold a relevant EHS Qualification (NEBOSH Construction and/or IOSH)Have demonstrable experience in a similar EHS roleHave experience working with a client sideHave excellent IT skills and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft suiteA full, clean driving licence is required
