The Infection Prevention and Control Team are excited to be recruiting to the team with a band 4 vacancy, suited to a Registered Nurse Associate/Assistant Practitioner

The role of theRegistered NurseAssociate is to work with the multi-professional team and theRegistered Nurse contributingto the delivery of an integrated Infection Prevention and Control service.They willmonitortherisks of infection within acute and community settings and work closely with teams to support control measures to reduce the risk in the spread of infection.

TheRegistered NurseAssociate has a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan, providing holistic andperson centredcare and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings.RegisteredNurseAssociates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills,attitudesand behaviours relevant to employment; and will actin accordance withthe NMC Code: Professional standards of practice and behaviour for nurses,midwivesand nursing associates.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CLINICAL
  • Under the supervision and workingin partnership with the Infection prevention teamprovide and deliver a high standard of nursing care contributing to thereduction in the risk of infection and supporting patients where infection has beenidentified.
  • Provide compassionate,safeand effective care and support to patients in a range of care settings.
  • Participates in Clinical auditactivities tosupport quality improvements
  • Prioritise and manage own workload, recognising where elements of care can safely bedelegated to other colleagues.
  • Provide and receive sensitive information concerning a patient’s medical condition.
  • Supports a range of settings in adhering to key measures in place to reduce the risk of infection
  • Work with theinfection prevention teamto support the delivery of training
  • Maintainaccurate, contemporaneous patient records in line with Trust policy and the NMC Code.
