Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm

Are you a dedicated Maths Teacher with a passion for supporting young people in SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) settings? We are looking for a committed and experienced professional to join an Alternative Provision team in Birkenhead, working with students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact, teaching across multiple nearby sites, and is ideally suited to a driver due to travel requirements.

About the Role: As an SEMH Maths Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging Maths lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, adapting your approach to meet varied learning needs and supporting students' academic and personal growth.
  • Work across multiple sites within close proximity, providing consistent and high-quality learning experiences.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team focused on making a difference in the lives of young people in an SEMH setting.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Maths Teacher with experience teaching in SEMH or alternative provisions.
  • Strong behaviour management skills, with a proactive and empathetic approach.
  • Experience in engaging hard-to-reach students and fostering a supportive classroom atmosphere.
  • Full UK driving license preferred due to travel between sites.

This is a temp-to-perm position, providing the chance to join a compassionate and forward-thinking team with a long-term view.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
