Science Teacher
Your new school
Hays are working with a secondary school in Caerphilly with over 900 pupils to find a Science teacher. The school encourages the pupils to take a proactive and creative approach to learning, allowing them to develop. The leadership team have a clear vision for the school and communicate it very well to create an inclusive ethos and a strong community feeling.
Your new role
Starting in September, you will be a key part of the dedicated Science department including full teaching responsibilities such as:
- Teach KS3 – KS4
- Nurture a range of learning abilities
- Staff meetings
- Parent’s evenings,
- Pastoral responsibilities,
- Planning and preparation of lessons
- Marking and assessment.
This is your chance to put your mark on a school and implement success through your teaching.
What you’ll need to succeed- Qualified teaching Status or PCET with Science experience
- Experience of teaching science in a secondary school
- Proven track record of helping students
- Strong classroom management skills
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council
- Hold a DBS check on the update service or be willing to obtain one
