Key Responsibilities of SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement EHCP's
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with their emotional, social, and academic development.
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
About You:
- Experience working as a SEND TA is essential – this role requires someone who understands the complexities and rewards of supporting students with additional needs.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A proactive and flexible attitude, with a willingness to adapt to the needs of the school and its pupils.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEND support are highly desirable.
