The Role of the Enhanced Health Care Support Worker is to assist and support the Admiral Nurses and Dementia Team in ensuring optimal care for our patients living with Dementia. The delivery of high quality, effective and compassionate health care to the patients of the Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust is the most important objective for the organisation.

The role will involve providing enhanced care support to those who require social interaction, support with the activities of daily living and support those with enhanced care needs.

To support the Dementia Team in the delivery of care for our patients as part of a 7 day service:
  • Providing effective enhanced care for our patients living with Dementia.
  • Using extensive experience in supporting those with a Dementia diagnosis and ensure their needs are met.
  • To work closely with the Multidisciplinary Team.
  • To complete the Band 3 competency framework within the identified time scale
  • Following the successful completion of the Band 3 competency framework the Clinical Support Worker will ensure that they act within their sphere of competence at all times and be confident and accountable for their actions
  • Analytical and Judgemental skill
