We are recruiting for an experienced Head of Product Design (Design & Technology) to join our excellent team from September 2025. The role is full-time, however 0.8 FTE could be considered. The successful candidate will be joining our large, friendly, supportive and highly prestigious Design & Technology Faculty, which consists of 10 teaching staff, 5 technicians and 1 Designer in Residence.

East Barnet School (EBS) is a large, thriving, over-subscribed and diverse North London school where a belief in growth mindset underpins all aspects of school life.

We train and inspire initial trainee teachers every year and many of our students go on to use their D&T knowledge to become successful in their chosen career paths.

Working atmosphere
  • March 2022 Ofsted inspection recognised that: 'Pupils behave very well in lessons and they are keen to learn. They listen to teachers, contribute their ideas and work hard. Outside of lessons, pupils' behaviour is calm and orderly.'

  • The state-of-the-art school building which was opened in September 2010 incorporates extensive grounds, modern outside sports facilities, excellent IT provision and contemporary dining areas, with our Sixth Form Cafe, now proudly serving Costa Coffee (which is also available to staff).
