The post holder will have a recognised electrical based apprenticeship, including City and Guilds and NVQ level 3 qualifications. Additional experience of Building management systems, mechanical systems including steam raising and pressure systems will be a distinct advantage.
There will be a requirement to be able to follow technical data and drawings, identify and locate faults on various systems and propose and deliver and effective solution. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills possessing the ability to work both as an individual using their own initiative and as part of a multi discipline team to deliver a safe and effective maintenance solution.
There will be a requirement to work overtime; both rostered and ad-hoc; at short notice as required to meet the needs of the Trust and its healthcare environment. There will also be a need to form part of the on-call response team to assist our out of hours staff where required.

If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £21.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
