- Age 16+ - Five+ GCSEs grade A*-C / 9-4, including English and maths, as well as a Science subject for engineering or technical roles.
Scotland
- Five National 4’s at Grade C or above, including English, Maths (excluding Application of Maths) & Science/Technical.
5 Group awards at National 4 including English and Maths (excluding Application of Maths) & Science or Technical subject.

Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
