The Role
As Deputy Principal (Academic), you will:
- Lead Academic Excellence: Drive innovation and oversee the academic provision, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, and pupil outcomes.
- Inspire and Develop Staff: Provide high-quality CPD opportunities, performance management, and quality assurance to support continuous improvement.
- Promote Inclusivity: Ensure the curriculum meets the needs of all pupils, particularly those from vulnerable groups, and remains at the forefront of educational best practice.
- Strengthen Community Links: Foster strong partnerships with parents and guardians through key academic events and communications.
- Champion Catholic Values: Uphold and promote the College’s Catholic ethos, both within the school and the wider community.
- Support Leadership: Deputise for the Principal when required, contributing to the strategic vision and operational success of the College.
- Provide strategic leadership for Heads of Faculty and academic staff, ensuring a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Monitor and analyse pupil progress and outcomes, leading targeted interventions to maximise attainment.
- Oversee curriculum development, ensuring it is broad, inclusive, and responsive to pupil needs.
- Lead key academic events, including revision evenings and open days, to engage and inform families.
- Ensure that the Catholic ethos of the College is reflected in all aspects of academic and pastoral life.
- Support the Principal in implementing the school’s strategic vision and policies.
