About the RoleHays is working with the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, who are seeking a dedicated Associate Practitioner to join their dynamic team. This role is open to newly qualified individuals who are not yet experienced enough to work as Biomedical Scientists (BMS).

The successful candidate will play an integral role in the smooth operation of our automated lab.

Role DetailsLocation: Charing Cross Hospital (CXH)Start Date: January 2025Working Hours: 37.5 hours per weekOperating hours: 24/7 serviceWorking Days: Monday to Sunday on rotationShift Patterns: 7.5-hour or 12-hour shifts, including nightsThis position requires flexibility to work across a variety of shifts to meet the needs of the service.

What We're Looking ForPrevious experience working in an automated laboratory is essential.A relevant Level 4 qualification, such as a Foundation Degree or Higher National Certificate/Diploma (HNC/HND) in Biomedical Science or a related field.Alternatively, significant experience in laboratory work may be accepted instead of formal qualifications.HCPC registration is not required but would be an advantage.Membership with the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) is desirable.Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment.
