Capel Manor College is looking to recruit a Part-time HR Advisor to join its busy Human Resources Department.
The HR Advisor role is a generalist role, covering a range of HR activities, with a particular focus on system maintenance and data and reporting. The post holder will work with the Senior HR Advisor to develop the functionality of the HR system (iTrent) and ensure that staffing data is accurate.
They will also prepare routine and ad hoc reports, such as the staffing establishment report, reports for the Senior Leadership Team and committee papers for the Governing Body. They will also deal with statutory returns such as the Further Education Workforce Data Collection and Gender Pay Gap report and respond to freedom of information requests where HR information is required.
They should have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and to meet deadlines. They should also be able to develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders and have the ability to deal with difficult issues in a sensitive way.

The HR Advisor will also support other HR activities such as policy development, staff sickness management, employee relations casework and contractual changes.
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain exposure to a wide range of people management activities. Some experience working with HR systems and producing HR reports and information would be advantageous. Candidates should have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.They should have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and to meet deadlines. They should also be able to develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders and have the ability to deal with difficult issues in a sensitive way.
A CIPD qualification would be advantageous.
The post will be based on site at the College’s campus in Enfield with some travel to other sites required. It is a part-time position, working for 21.6 hours per week. The actual salary is £18,398-£19,411. The working pattern is flexible, and some home working may be available after the satisfactory completion of the probationary period.
