Position Summary:
To proactively improve manufacturing equipment at the site
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the development and improvement of manufacturing equipment.
- Commission new equipment to achieve the required safety and productivity rates.
- Make an effective contribution to improve product quality and operational performance.
- Assist skilled workers with hands on duties when required.
- Supervise other employees on the site.
- Any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required
What we are looking for:
- Mechanically or Electrical bias also Multi skilled.
- An apprentice time served or graduate engineer.
- A qualified engineer to at least HNC level.
- Candidates should have experience in a similar role including a good knowledge of Electro - Pneumatic machinery which is PLC controlled.
- Experience in high volume manufacturing but not in heavy industry.
- A good appreciation of tight tolerances (0.1mm).
- Candidates will need to demonstrate good teamwork and problem solving skills as there is a need to work closely with others to successfully complete individual and plant objectives throughout the year.
