Don Electronics Ltd is currently recruiting an experienced Stores and Goods-in/out person to work at our premises in Yeadon, Leeds.

Our Goods In/Out & Stores area is a busy environment receiving many deliveries, parts and materials on a daily basis. We’re looking for an organised person who is used to processing orders either inward or outward and prioritising these accordingly, making sure that things are done in a timely fashion.

Many of these parts are for the use of manufacturing Electronic and Electrical products and, therefore, knowledge of Industrial Control and Automation equipment would be advantageous.
You will be responsible for maintaining the Stores Register and processing delivery notes, supplier paperwork and receipt/dispatch documentation and flagging up any discrepancies and handling queries.
This role also requires the use of a Forklift Truck and a current valid Counterbalance & Reach licence/certificate would be an advantage.
It is essential that you also have a valid UK Driving Licence, as this role also involves a small amount of driving to local customers and suppliers.

Due to the nature of some of the physical tasks, such as heavy lifting tasks, it is important that you are fit and healthy.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Initial physical receipt of all goods and parts into the company, including the unloading of goods from supplier transport necessitating the use of a forklift truck.
  • Unpack and transfer goods internally to the correct department and/or store on the ground floor racking and storage areas, liaising with the person who is expecting the delivery to ensure they receive or are aware goods have been delivered.
  • Move goods between our two local sites as required.
  • Load pallets and finished products for delivery.
  • Book goods-in against the relevant purchase orders.
  • Flag and resolve with the appropriate Buyer any discrepancies or queries relating to deliveries between the Suppliers paperwork and the Purchase Order.
  • File in a timely and accurate manner all incoming Supplier paperwork, such that it can be readily retrieved.
  • Update inventories and stock counts.
  • Ensure the goods in/out & stores areas are kept clean and tidy and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Removal of packaging into bins
  • Schedule and make deliveries/collections using any company vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
  • Packing and dispatch of sales orders.
