PA wanted for a young at heart 60 year old man with a mild learning disability.
He is a quiet, gentle person who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer but is currently quite well.
He is fairly mobile – he walks with the aid of a walking stick – and is able to travel on public transport if accompanied. He cannot read timetables, menus etc and needs assistance with this.
He is looking for a companion to accompany him on social activities in the community – such as shopping trips, visiting places of interest, eating out, cinema outings, coach trips etc. He enjoys music and loves seeing tribute bands at the Weston Playhouse.
He has funding for approximately 10 hours a week.
Flexibility on how this is used would be appreciated e.g. 2x5 hours/ 1x10 hours/ or 5 x 2 hours depending on the activity.
Need to be a car user although he is happy to travel on buses or trains when appropriate.
